Just a translator? I'm an accountant, It support, marketer manager, director, personal assistant, account manager and translator.

Born in Paris (France), the Manager of MD-TRAD, Unipessoal Lda, Manuela Domingues BA, graduated in Applied Foreign Languages (Spanish, French, English, Portuguese and Russian) at the University of Minho. During her academic career, she travelled to Brussels within the framework of the Erasmus programme, where she developed more skills in the area of translation and interpretation at the Higher Institute of Translators and Interpreters (ISTI). In order to finalize her degree, she did a 5-month internship at the University of St. Petersburg (Russia), where she translated tourist guides and a Russian to Portuguese grammar book.
She proceeded with her studies whilst starting her career as a Freelance and In-house Translator in several export and international transportation companies, consequently obtaining a Postgraduate Degree in Translation for Subtitling at the Instituto Superior de Tradutores e Intérpretes (Porto), a Postgraduate in Advanced Russian for Tourism and Business (University of Minho) and the Certificate of Professional Aptitude in Teaching.
After a period of ten years, during which she exercised the functions of Translator and Client Manager in dependent employment, acquiring knowledge in the area of international trade and land transport, thus managing and working with great prestige clients within the automobile sector, such as Gefco, Continental, Peugeot Citroën, among others, she decided to start her own business, dedicated to translation, subtitling, linguistic training and consulting in May 2016.
Currently, the company has about 20 collaborators in order to respond to a wide variety of language combinations and areas of expertise requested by clients who come back to her, time and again.
The Manager and Translator, Manuela Domingues BA, is a member of APTRAD (Portuguese Association for Translators and Interpreters) and a Proz.com Certified PRO, according to the European standard EN-15038:2006.
